Food: AMAZING, no complaints. All the dishes were fantastic!! Service: The guy was a little grumpy and really strict since the restaurant gets super busy and we only had a time limit of 1hr 45mins to eat (for a work dinner for party of 18). Also, over the phone they were a little harsh when I was uncertain on how many people would show up. I had a colleague who was vegetarian and when he asked to order more veg dishes, the waiter said "but you guys already ordered a lot of food". Ambiance: It's in a fun area of Boston on BU campus so tons to do around. Super walkable and accessible to the green line. Inside the restaurant it's like a typical Chinese restaurant, very busy.

Victoria's Seafood Restaurant | Allston, Boston Overall: 8.5/10 Salty Egg Twin Lobster Rating: 8.4/10 Fresh lobster served straight out of the fryer. Bits of salted egg yolk coat the shell and meat of the lobster, imparting a savory umami flavor that pairs super will with the natural sweetness of the lobster. Only downside is that since it's all fried, it was hard to distinguish between shell and meat. I think I ate a lot of shell, that day. The menu says market price; ours came out to $66 for two lobsters. Duck Tongue w/ Chives Rating: 8.6/10 Did not expect this to be my favorite dish! Tender duck tongue stir fried with refreshing green chives. The tongues themselves do have bones in them, but they're so soft that I just treated them like cartilage and then whole. It's on their 'tonight's special' menu, which is written entirely in Chinese. Fried Fish w/ BBQ Pork Hotpot Rating: 8/10 Lightly battered fish with tofu and pork belly, kept hot in a clay pot. The subtle sweetness of the sauce accentuated the flavor of the fish! Tofu and pork belly could've used more flavor. Pork Belly w/ Taro Rating: 8.1/10 Melt-in-your-mouth tender, fatty pork belly that has soaked up the sweet and savory sauce it's bathed in. The taro, though not as flavorful offered a pleasant contrast to the pork through its soft, potato-like texture and sweet flavor. I would go as far as to say that Victoria's Seafood Restaurant serves better Chinese food than restaurants in Chinatown! Food was served quickly, and each dish was really flavorful! And the price? I mean, come on. I went as a group of four, and everything came out to $44 per person! And that's including tax and tip! Keep in mind, we ordered two lobsters!!! Needless to say, some here if you want authentic Chinese food that isn't from Chinatown. Be warned, this place gets busy very quickly.

This restaurant was really busy on Sunday night. People lined up for seats. I grabbed to-go and I'm glad I took the recommendation to try the black pepper beef. I really liked the beef with long stream beans - tender meat and crispy beans just the way I like it. The stirfry was served on top of a generous amount of rice. Generally, great value and fast preparation . It looks like a good spot for individuals who want to grab a fast bite, as well as groups of friends to experience the authentic vibe and share dishes. I heard good words about the seafood as well. I might try next time.
